Tyrone Thompson is passionate about improving the quality of life for Navajo people by modeling a self-sustaining way of living.
He is the founder and farm manager of Chβishie Farms, farming along the Little Colorado River in the southwest portion of Navajo Nation. Tyrone has farmed alongside lead farmers and gardeners for over fifteen years practicing and specializing in organic regenerative agriculture, which includes organizing community composting, farm to school, CSA seedling program, as well as community farms, gardens and orchards.
Tyrone is inspired by his wife, three boys, and three girls. In their spare time they enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, and biking.
